Claudia Khachan is a Lebanese sound and visual artist whose work sits between improvisation, performance, and sound-art collage. Her practice centers on the voice — sung, hummed, and pushed to its limits until it stops sounding like a voice — alongside scraped acoustic instruments and personal field recordings gathered on walks and at home.
The pieces are built by hand, mostly in one take. They grow out of a single improvisation and are then edited slowly, sometimes over months, until the shape feels inevitable. The result is unhurried and memory-driven: immersive, low-lit song that asks for attention rather than rewards it, best heard on headphones from beginning to end.
A solo release built around voice and a 1960s Bontempi electric chord organ, edited slowly into a single unhurried listen.
A collaboration built from shared field recordings and long-form studio improvisation with musician and producer Ziad Moukarzel, released as a single continuous piece with Ruptured the Label.
A trio with Ziad Moukarzel on bass and modular, Anthony Tawil on drums, and Claudia on vocals and keys. Long-form, in-the-moment playing — loose structures, drone textures, and voice pushed against rhythm — to be self-released in 2026 alongside shows across Lebanon.
